What comes with each sample
Each sample comes with what you need to evaluate the lot: variety, process, region, altitude, harvest year, tasting notes, and current availability. Independent Q-grader cupping sheets are available on request. Where a lot's availability is limited or reserved for the next harvest, we say so up front.
Why Guatemala
Guatemala offers real range across Huehuetenango, Santa Rosa, and Sololá — from floral washed Geisha and structured Pacamara to sweet Bourbon, expressive Catuaí, and classic Typica. Six lots, three regions, and a spread from 1,423 to 1,800 metres, in washed, honey, and natural — including the same Catuaí Amarillo taken two ways, so you can cup honey against natural with the variety and the altitude held constant and hear what the process alone is doing. One harvest a year, picked at peak ripeness and kept in parchment until it ships: what lands on your cupping table is what the season actually gave.
